Job description

 

Plant Maintenance Supervisor:

Purpose of Function: The Plant Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the maintenance team. Reports to the Plant Manager and will take care of the scheduled and preventative maintenance at the facility in order to guarantee the correct functioning of the machinery and industrial equipment.

 

Duties:

  • Restoration of the functioning of the machines, the prevention of breakdowns and anomalies and, in part, the improvement of the means of work.

 

  • Acting on faulty machines following requests for intervention by the Heads of Production Area, and a second intervention represented by the revision and / or execution of complex repairs with the machine stopped and / or in an area set up for these purposes.

 

  • Identifying imperfections in the machinery and their causes; disassemble parts to locate and eliminate faults.

 

  • Ensure scheduled maintenance work is performed

 

  • Make improvement recommendations for plant equipment reliability and maintenance related problems solving.

 

  • Assist with hiring of maintenance personnel

 

  • Check and repair according to established procedures and at the end of each work performed, record the technical data relating to repair / maintenance carried out in the manner provided.

 

  • Basic mechanical knowledge

 

  • Knowledge of heater and micro and ceramic bands of sensor and temp sensors

 

  • Base knowledge of PCL input and output

 

  • Running and hookup circuits and panel hookup

 

  • Trouble shooting motor / hydraulic /pneumatic /VFD drives /cranes/ pumps.

 

  • Voltages 12-24v /110-120v 208v 277v 480v

 

  • Electrical control diagnosis and troubleshooting encoder.

 

  • Know what a PM’s regulated.

 

  • Running and hooking up eye’s sensors safety circuits and photo eyes

 

  • Base knowledge on small chillers

 

  • Able to read schematics and prints

 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 4+ years of Experience

 

  • Certificate of Electromechanical Expert preferred

 

  • Solid knowledge of inverter programming, electrical sensors and wiring diagrams.

 

  • Leadership and organizational skills

 

  • Ability to think tactically and strategically

 

  • Detail and results oriented

 

  • Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office.

 

Job Type: Full-time Contract-to-Hire

 

Salary: $30.00 per hour

 

Experience level:

  • 4 years

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime

  • Weekends as needed
