Kitting Job Description

Job Summary

The Kitting position requires pulling, assembling, and packing items for client’s orders in a timely, accurate and organized manner.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assembly Kits for customer orders

• Read customer’s order and follow instructions to determine items to pulled and placed in kit

• Cut out letters and add to sign to add to kit

• Pull graphic signs for kit orders

• Kit orders will vary based on signage in customers’ orders

• Maintain accuracy and keep kits organized

• Confirm all items of kit are packed in box before taping shut or wrapping

• Stack completed kit boxes on pallet

• Cross train in different areas in warehouse to help in other areas as needed

Work Hours

• This position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional Saturday

• Overtime during the week is also possible

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to read, understand, and pull customers’ orders accurately

• Basic math skills

• Keep work area neat and organized

• Ability to cross train in other areas in the warehouse

• Follow all safety requirements including wearing PPE

• Previous warehouse and kitting experience a plus

• Ability to collaborate with a team in professional manner

Physical Requirements

• Stand, bend, stoop, and walking during entire shift

• Manuel dexterity

• Ability to lift to 30lbs

• Ability to lift and stack boxed Kits on pallet for shipping
