Shipping/Receiving Lead

This position requires an individual who is safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reports to Plant Manager

• Supervise 2 material handlers

• Direct and coordinate the activities of wrapping team to assist in preparing orders;

• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. 

• Oversee work of others to ensure orders are received, pulled, and processed correctly.

• Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products                                          

• Updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. 

• Handle shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

• Schedule trucks for freight orders and ensure on time pickup and delivery.

• Trains new shipping employees

• Promote compliance with safety, quality, and productivity objectives.

• Maintaining inventory of all shipping materials; cycle counting of inventory;

• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• SAP Business One

• Previous shipping experience required, at least 3 years

• Previous lead/supervisory experience required, at least 2 years

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs

• Ability to work in fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment

• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced production environment

• Ability to be attentive to detail/ time management

• Forklift experience 

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of shipping experience
