CNC Machine Operator

• Job Description:

• * Complete work following operation procedure and accurately machining parts per work instructions and drawings

• * Correctly clock all time associated with set up and machining of parts to the correct job

• * Inspect parts per inspection procedure and accurately fill out check sheets per operation procedure

• * Accurately fill out all forms for production quantities and material used

• * Keep machines in good working condition, preventative maintenance schedule followed, proper coolant levels, condition of components and cleanliness

• * Machine parts with program provided and consult assistant manufacturing manager and programmer before altering programs

• * Maintain and organize staging area for future jobs

• * Prepare for future jobs by setting up tools, clamps, vices and fixtures while machine is running when possible.

• * Operate multiple machines when cycle times and machining conditions permit

• * Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

• * Assist machine shop in other functions when caught up on work

• * Assist with machine maintenance when necessary

• Required Skills:

• * Proficient with operation of CNC machines and controls

• * Proficient with various gauges and measuring devices

• * Ability to read and interpret prints

• * Strong understanding of dimensions and tolerances

• * Strong understanding of material properties

• Attentive to all safety precautions when operating machines

Job Type: Full time

Pay: 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
