Position: Production Engineer Department: Sales Functional Area: Sales Classification: Exempt Reporting Structure: Head of Internal Sales and PMP Educational Background Required: • Completed degree (Bachelor) in die field of Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. • At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience Skills and Training • Automotive industry knowledge. • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and systems • Analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data and make recommendations Essential Functions Required for Job • Prepare pre-costing and engineering change calculations in SAP (ZPCO). • Prepare post costing calculations in SAP. • Prepare and update BOM's and routings and check actual material input in production. • Assure correct and actual master data in SAP. • Management of unique numbers, e.g., tools, equipment, etc. • Process analysis and optimization. • Establish Continual Improvement Process (CIP). • Assure high efficiency of daily work and identify potentials, also in the relevant interfaces. • Prepare economic calculations to compare different production processes or for other requests ROI calculation, etc. • Use, prepare and control standard reports e.g., parts report, differences of production orders, etc. • Investigating production complications, analyze root causes and financial objectives. • Determine packaging within the production in cooperation with Senior Dispatch Logistics Specialist. • Prepare reports and information on production issues on request e.g., for Production Manager. • Develop operational plans to accomplish production and financial objectives. • Deep collaboration with Corporate and Business Unites. • Provide onsite customer support to Sales Department and assist in identifying new product design • opportunities. • Implement Capacity Planning for each work center to improve production planning. • Other duties as assigned.
