Position Overview:
Assist the Blending Operator 11, gaining entry-level knowledge of equipment and process, learning how to perform basic setup, adjustments, mixing, and breakdown on a specific machine.
Position Description:
- Shadow and learn how to run a specific machine and acquire knowledge of basic operations for other
machines and equipment. All job responsibilities will be supervised by a Blending Operator II or higher.
- Acquire knowledge and skills needed to assemble and disassemble a specific machine as well as basic operations of other machines and equipment.
- Formulate raw materials into finished bulk by following specific Batch Manufacturing Procedures (BMP's).
- Ensure the bulk product meets all Quality specifications and is produced in a timely manner based on the production plan/schedule.
- Monitor blending equipment according to the specifications of components and blend amounts.
- Control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures in accordance with industry standards for blending.
- Adhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples.
- Execute minor adjustments and perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Using Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and
accurate format. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
- Adhere to all Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing
- Practices (cGMPs) to produce a quality good that can be safely delivered to our customers.
- Follow all required work safety practices. This would include wearing all the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry is preferred
- Possess and display an aptitude for working on mechanical equipment.
- Acceptance of direction and supervision with the ability to learn quickly.
- Skill in organization prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal communication skills, being fluent and proficient in the English language. (Bilingual is a
plus).
- Must be able to work in an environment where you are exposed to sensitive food ingredients and allergens.
- Work well in a fast-paced and always-changing manufacturing environment.
- Possess basic math skills including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, -common fractions, and decimals.
- Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Required to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal Checks)
