Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
Requisitions spare parts.
Directs modifications to, and/or coordinates programming of robots and related equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet productions schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Assist in training of Assembly Maintenance Techs and Short Term Projects / Assembly Maintenance Tech Apprentices.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Repairs and rebuilds components on production and facility machinery and equipment, including material handling systems, elevators, and conveyors.
Troubleshoots major equipment malfunctions or failures
Starts up and shuts down department
Assigns duties of maintenance personnel on respective shift
Works with Maintenance Manager in the preparation of reviews for maintenance personnel on each shift
Oversees Assembly department safety standards and reports any hazards.
Lay out and supervise major repairs or overhauls on production machinery and equipment.
Work with Assembly Planner Scheduler to schedule and complete PM’s, which will require OT on a weekly basis for all leads.
Establish priorities due to emergency breakdown repairs on production equipment.
Conveys any pertinent operational information to Technical Personnel on the following shif
Communicates with leads, supervisors, managers, and techs regarding any pertinent information regarding production machinery
Attend cell meetings and host weekly “crew” meetings.
