Architectural Glass Fabricator Company needs a glass furnace operator. We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Furnace Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the furnace, ensuring the production of high-quality glass. You will work closely with the production team to monitor glass quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in glass manufacturing, and a strong focus on quality. Will Train on 1st shift 7am to 3:30pm and eventually move to 2nd shift. Pay is starting at $15 hr. Requirements Operate and Monitor furnace equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes. Set Furnace Maintain proper temperatures and settings to ensure quality and efficiency during the production process. Adjust the Furnace settings according to the specific glass type to ensure optimal production quality. Glass Inspection: Inspect glass for manufacturing defects, handling damage, and seamed edges without damage (no nipped edges). Quality Control: Continuously check the quality of tempered glass during off-load and make necessary adjustments to maintain high standards. Glass Staging: Collaborate with the wash off-loader to ensure proper staging and prioritization of glass for tempering. Troubleshoot and Resolve issues related to furnace operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
