We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Los Angeles, CA for our client in a Cargo facility.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious & detail-oriented individual that can perform in a faced paced warehouse cargo environment, under supervision.
Pay:
$24.73 - $26.73/ hr Depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Processes export & import inquires as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance, preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks & handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer and abandoned shipment)
Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs and ensures accurate data capture as per client’s requirements and procedures
Handles Special Cargo
Initiates invoicing, accepts cash payments
Performs Service Recovery activities (i.e. tracing, warehouse checks, offload) & Airmail Handling
Fully supports the quality standards
Works according to documented CHM and GOM procedures
Observes and applies the security requirements of the client and local authorities
Contacts customers, inform them of any/all irregularities
Requirements:
Education: GED/High School desired Experience
Work Environment:
Office Setting - Working with others
Shift:
Need to be flexible to work different shifts (6 AM - 3:30 PM) (2:30 PM - 12AM)
Overtime Available
Essential functions:
Stand or Sit - Stationary position - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Walk Move - needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operate a computer & other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.
Talk/Hear- The person in this position frequently communicates with employees to give instructions. Must be able to exchange accurate
information in these situations.
