Maintenance Technician- $27- $30 an hour
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to fill a 2nd shift (2pm- 11pm) for our automotive client that is located in Warren, MI.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute work orders and project tasks promptly and with high-quality standards.
Perform daily servicing and maintenance of production equipment.
Resolve breakdowns swiftly and implement corrective actions effectively.
Maintain detailed records of completed tasks on a daily basis.
Collaborate with external equipment and service suppliers as needed.
Troubleshoot Cognex and Keyence vision systems, Siemens PLCs, and HMIs using programming software to make minor adjustments.
Ensure equipment functions as designed and complies with quality standards, including customer-specific requirements.
Undertake additional tasks as required.
Scope of Authority/Key Figures:
Authorization over maintenance tasks and prioritization of breakdowns.
Interaction with production teams for daily review of technical downtime and setting daily priorities.
Collaboration with Industrial Engineering for continuous improvement of assembly lines.
Organizational Interfaces:
Active participation in shift handovers and team meetings.
Regular communication with production teams for information exchange and priority alignment.
Collaboration with Industrial Engineering for ongoing improvement initiatives.
Formal Education/Course of Study:
Apprenticeship in Mechatronics (MAT2) or similar.
Relevant experience in a related field (3+ years) and formal technical training.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechatronics technician in an automated production company, preferably in the automotive industry.
Skills:
Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with problem-solving methods.
In-depth technical knowledge and experience covering industrial controls, PLCs, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, measuring devices, servo drives, conveyor systems, BUS systems, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
Service-oriented mindset with assertiveness, creativity, and a collaborative approach.
Effective communication skills and the ability to read blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
Knowledge and adherence to lockout/tagout processes for safety compliance.
