Material Handler

Position: Material Handler
Location: Atlanta, GA
Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour, Friday-Sunday 2pm-10:30am (Part-time)

Responsibilities:

• Replenish inventory in designated storage locations, ensuring all materials are stocked and available for operations.
• Accurately pick and pack orders according to requisitions or pick tickets, preparing items for shipment or internal use.
• Stock shelves and organize materials to optimize space and accessibility in the warehouse or supply area.
• Perform heavy lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling of materials, boxes, and pallets as required.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment safely.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and verifying incoming shipments.
• Inspect materials for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, following all safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate supply needs or issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or supply chain preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs) throughout the shift.
• Basic math and reading skills for inventory and order verification.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to move, transport, and position up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position or move about for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information with team members and supervisors.

Work Environment:

• Frequently works indoors but may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather when receiving or delivering materials.
• Regularly exposed to equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Sometimes exposed to cleaning solvents or other contaminants.
• Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels and bright or dim lighting conditions.
• Workspaces may not always be temperature-controlled.
• Works near others and often shares the same workspace.
