Jr. Geotechnical Engineer

I.K. Hofmann Services is currently looking for a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to support a client of ours Canton, Georgia office and Metro Atlanta region. Applicants will be responsible for project management, report preparation, and monitoring job sites.
Under the direct supervision of the Geotechnical Director, the selected candidate(s) will be involved in the following field and office tasks:

• Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation and Subsurface Exploration
• Special Inspections and Construction Materials Testing Services
• Project management
• Report preparation or review of reports
• Field work, including sampling events or site visits
• Growth potential for employee supervision and management
• Limited travel possible

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field Master's degree a plus
• 2-4 years of professional experience related to engineering Preferred but not required: EIT or GIT certificate, 40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour Refreshers Willingness to travel in order to complete field assignments Ability to work outdoors and in certain weather conditions
