Dishwasher

I.K. Hofmann has an immediate long-term contract opening for a Dishwasher in JFK, NY for a First-Class Lounge. Our client provides a variety of food services to Airlines around the world. Over 1.5 million meals a day are served by our clients to Airlines and its passengers. Currently, we are looking for customer service staff at an Airport Lounge within JFK Airport. *It is important that our ideal candidate is flexible for any shifts.

Starting Pay of $25.04 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleaning Lounge dishes and area and also for keeping the area restocked 
• Report necessary maintenance items - Following all sanitation and safety policies 
• Restocking magazines and newspapers 
• Washing all utensils and dishes used by guests and cooks 
• Ensure that the dishwasher is clean and maintaining proper temperatures
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Job Requirements of a Dishwasher:

• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry's best practices
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions
• Prioritize and delegate tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team
• Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles
• Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
• Ability to work as a member of a team whose goal is to make all customers experience enjoyable

REQUIRED Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Equivalent professional experience

Minimum Essential Functions:

• Must be able to remain standing for 50% of the time
• The person in this position will be required to move about the kitchen area from station to station.
• Frequently move trays and stacks of dishes, pots, pans weighing up to 50 pounds.
