Regional and highly reputable law firm seeking a motivated and organized legal secretary with insurance defense experience to support its Mobile office. As a legal secretary, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to 2-3 attorneys and legal staff to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the legal office. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in this role. 


Responsibilities:

1. Ensure attorney time sheets are entered into time and billing system

2. Maintain electronic files

3. Prepare legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, drafts, and other legal documents from written and oral drafts or dictation

4. Prepare court electronic filing

5. Maintain high level of professionalism, communication, grammar, and spelling

6. Draft complaints and answers, routine notices, affidavits, motions and petitions, contracts, and closing documents

7. Establish, organize and maintain attorney trial notebooks, expert witness notebooks, document indexes, reports and lists

8. Maintain calendar and deadline reminder system

9. Conduct periodic review of files

10. Receive clients and visitors maintaining good public relations


Requirements:

3+ years' experience in Insurance Defense law
