Full-Time Purchasing Agent
Location: Theodore, AL
Schedule: M-F 7:30-4:30
$20-25/hr
Our local client is seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent to join their team. As a Purchasing Agent, you'll play a vital role in overseeing procurement operations, ensuring the availability of top-tier products for customers. We're looking for someone with a background in outdoor power industry retail or a similar field, who can enhance the company's success by managing inventory levels across multiple locations and sourcing new products to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:

Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and ensure prompt delivery of high-quality products.

Collaborate with department heads and management to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing excess stock and outages.

Stay abreast of market trends, industry shifts, and competitor activities to make informed purchasing decisions.

Coordinate with sales, repair facilities, parts teams, customers, and management to proactively procure new products beneficial to our clientele.

Regularly review and update product offerings, ensuring accurate pricing and essential information.

Analyze sales and procurement data to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost efficiencies.

Liaise with the accounting department to resolve vendor shipment discrepancies.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Demonstrated experience in outdoor power industry retail or a related field.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Familiarity with inventory management systems, dealer software, or other retail inventory tools.
