LSI Staffing has an immediate openings for a Designer with CAD experience. This is a temp to hire assignment that will have you working Monday-Friday. You will be working under minimum supervision to create new or modify existing product designs and drawings per our client's design standards and procedures. You will also regularly advise and consult with internal customers performing a variety of tasks in support of company operations. Focus will primarily be on integrating Silex drawings to the client's standards and operations. Pay will be $14/hr.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create new designs of silencers, emission products, and other exhaust system components using Solidworks and/or ProE
• Modify existing designs to correct errors, reduce cost, or standardize product using Solidworks, AutoCAD, and ProE.
• Follow engineering procedures for releasing and controlling designs.
• Actively participate in the engineering department’s strive for excellence by offering suggestions for process improvements or implementations.
• Understand the Solidworks vault and Enterprise and ensure that items are organized effectively so that items are easy to search.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Preferred: Associates degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD);
• Typically 0 to 1.5 years related experience and/or training
• Excellent communicator and motivator in a team-based environment
• Computer literate
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organization skills demonstrating high level of prioritization skills
• Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
• People oriented with strong leadership, relationship & influencing skills
