Quality Inspector

Wage: $18+ depending on experience

Shift/Hours: 1st shift; 7am - 3:30pm

ITAR Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our client's Quality/Inspection Department for a temp to hire position in Roscoe, IL. This position requires a strong background in inspection and quality assurance processes, particularly with Collins Aerospace products. The ideal candidate will meet DQR (Designated Quality Representative) certification requirements or be willing to obtain them within a defined timeframe. 

DQR Certification Requirements (Preferred to Start Immediately): 

Candidates who can "hit the ground running" must possess the following: 

• Current DPRV AS13001 certification 

• Successful completion of the Collins (P&C unit) DQR exam (Available via the portal once application is initiated) 

• Current eye exam in accordance with HSM17 standards (Snellen 14/18 (20/30), Jaeger 2, or equivalent as determined by a certified eye care professional) 

Alternate Path – For Candidates Without Current DQR Certification: 

Candidates without the above must meet the following to become DQR-eligible: 

• Minimum 6 months of quality/inspection experience with Collins Aerospace products 

• Completion of the DPRV AS13001 training and passing the related exam 

• Passing the Collins DQR exam 

• Completion of a current eye exam meeting HSM17 standards 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Proficient with handheld inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial pressure micrometers, indicators 

• Experience with CMMs and optical comparators 

• Strong blueprint reading skills; GD&T knowledge preferred 

• Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications 

• Competency in completing various inspection forms and documentation 

• High attention to detail and organized work habits 

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently 

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook 

• Solid computer and data entry skills 

• Problem-solving ability and capability to work under pressure 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct first article inspections 

• Perform in-process, final, and over inspections 

• Complete and maintain accurate inspection records 

• Collaborate with management to identify and resolve quality issues 

• Review purchase orders and all related documentation for quality requirements, PO Note Codes, and embedded conditions 

• Verify by inspection that all products meet or exceed the drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements
