Job Overview:
MEMCO is seeking a Scaffold Yard Supervisor to oversee daily scaffold yard operations, ensuring materials, inventory, and personnel are managed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role supervises yard staff, enforces safety policies, maintains equipment readiness, and coordinates closely with Operations and Dispatch to support field crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise yard employees and temporary labor
- Enforce all safety policies and conduct daily safety briefings
- Inspect incoming and outgoing scaffold materials for accuracy and condition
- Maintain accurate paperwork and inventory tracking for all equipment movement
- Organize yard layout to separate rent-ready, damaged, and chargeable equipment
- Ensure damaged equipment is documented and repaired properly
- Perform daily and weekly truck audits
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management
- Oversee preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse environment
- Train and develop yard personnel
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of yard, warehouse, construction, or scaffolding experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A pre-employment drug screen is required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, and work indoors/outdoors as required
