Responsible for the strategic development of the Van Services business unit. The Director will direct and oversee the leadership, growth, and development of the multimodal, multi-customer freight transportation team. The Director will also work in concert with the Director of Operations, COO, and CEO.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
Minimum Experience: 5 years of van experience in direct transportation or multi-functional logistics leadership roles. Brokerage or asset experience.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES and/or SKILLS
-Must be a U.S. Citizen.
-Lead and manage all sales, marketing, administrative and operational requirements of the department.
-Drive entire Van Services’ department to meet, and preferably exceed, established metrics across transportation modes (e.g. truckload, LTL, intermodal).
-Develop and manage a portfolio of diverse customers with a focus on promoting growth, achieving margin objective, and key performance indicators.
-Grow and maintain strategic and/or executive-level relationships with shippers.
-Attend and participate in all required or applicable seminars, meetings, trade shows, vendor day meetings, contract or purchasing meetings, professional associations, or other events to identify new business.
-Up to 30% travel required.
-Other duties as assigned.
