Industrial Maintenance/ Forklift Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial mechanics and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy machinery. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance and repair, ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work closely with other team members to provide exceptional service and support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including scissor lifts and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters to test electrical systems and components.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding equipment status and repair needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex mechanical issues.
• Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet project demands.
