Full Time direct-hire (permanent) first shift opportunity in a financially secure company that's been around since 1907 and which was recently named a finalist for an ethics award.
You will install machine control systems including Fanuc and Siemens CNC's, servo and spindle systems, GE Fanuc, BEI and Heidenhain encoders, Inductosyn feedback systems, AutomationDirect/Koyo and Allen Bradley PLC systems. Further duties include setting up, conducting and analyzing ballbar tests, as well as running laser inferometer to calibrate positioning, accuracy and repeatability. Machine machine gib adjustments. Install "circle-diamond-square" part program and assist with setup and testing. Provide technical assistance or training to electricians on the shop floor or in customer's plants. Provide assistance to the design engineers.
Travel = 30/40% annually but home every two weeks.
Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
-Setup and operation of commonly used electronic test equipment such as (multi-meters, osciloscopes).
-Ability to follow JIC and ANSI/NFPA 79 electrical specifications.
-Be thoroughly familiar with Electrical Schematics and must be able to read hydraulic diagrams to setup or troubleshoot machine controls.
-Be able to utilize micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, guage thickness, and precision machine levels to diagnose and evaluate machine problems.
-Understand and be familiar with CNCs, servo controls, servo motors, spindle drives and spindle motors.
