Are you looking for a support position in Press Operations? Do you enjoy being part of a team environment? We have an opportunity in the Green Bay area as a Press Assistant! This position is in support of the paper converting process.

As a Press Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of operating a Printing Press to ensure quality products are complete in timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. As an assistant, you will also be expected to work closely with other assistants, operators, and other support positions in the paper converting process while being flexible with a first and second shift hours.

Responsibilities

Assist the Operator in any way to help enhance the flow of production.

Remove finished product from the rewind and package per specifications, weigh it, and stage it in the warehouse for shipment.

Assist with setting up print cylinders, ink pumps, slitters, etc.

Cleans and performs low-end maintenance on equipment as instructed.

Complies with all safety practices and procedures. Report any hazards.

Completes all reporting requirements.

Tend the Press if the Operator is occupied.

Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Good technical, mechanical, communication, and basic math skills are essential

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction required.

Must be able to fill out hand written reports that are legible.

Should be able to pass a color blindness test

Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently.

Ability to work 8 to 12 hours per day standing up.
