POSITION – CNC Lathe Machinist & Programmer
JOB LOCATION – Augusta, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd Shift (3pm-3am, Mon-Thurs, paid lunch break, 48-55 hours per week, some OT, rare Saturdays)
STARTING PAY – $16-26/hour depending on experience

EDUCATION– High School diploma/GED equivalent required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Minimum of three years of CNC machining experience/training.Machine Tool technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
We are seeking a hard working individual that follows direction well. The position is for a CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator. The employee will operate computer-controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic pieces.
Responsibilities
Set-up, program, adjust and operate CNC (computer numeric controlled) lathes to perform close tolerance turning and cutting operations.
Check inserts, change sizes and tools as needed.
Frequently do quality check for consistent quality in production.
Communicate to supervisor needs for consistent quality in production.
You must understand and commit to company policies and procedures.
Participate in cross training.
Any other tasks or duties assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to work well with others
