Are you ready to be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of essential machinery and equipment in a food/dairy processing environment? Join a dynamic team where your skills in maintenance and problem-solving make a direct impact on production efficiency. We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to support our growing operations, with opportunities to take on either a Maintenance Level 1 or Maintenance Level 2 role depending on experience.

 

Position – Maintenance Technician (Level 1 or Level 2)

Job Location – Durand, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st Shift (9:00am – 5:00pm, Mon-Fri)

Starting Pay – $25-35/Hr

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the food/dairy industry.

 

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment at peak efficiency, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing any potential issues in a timely, safe, and sanitary manner. You will work closely with the maintenance team and supervisors to ensure that all equipment is running smoothly and efficiently. This is an essential role in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment, where attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are key.

Responsibilities

- Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols.

- Follow strict sanitation codes for personnel, equipment, packaging, and rooms.

- Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules.

- Identify and report equipment maintenance needs to your supervisor.

- Take direction from lead maintenance personnel and supervisors, assisting in the development and installation of new equipment.

 

Qualifications 

- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the food/dairy industry.

- Experience with food processing is a plus.

- Ability to read and interpret instructions and technical manuals.

- Proficiency in working with 480V electrical systems, high and low-pressure boilers, VFD drives, sanitary welding, and mechanical repairs.

- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to take corrective actions when needed.
