Light Industrial Assignment to Hire

Position Title: Machine Operator

Department: Spool Department

Reports To: Production Supervisor – Spool

Date Reviewed: September 2017

 

Position Purpose: Perform Spool Department production functions.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Maintain a safe, clean work environment.

  2. Operate various production equipment.

  3. Fill out written production reports.

  4. Perform various duties as assigned.

  5. Report all activities to supervisor.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  1. High school diploma, GED, HSED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. Understand and utilize basic math skills.

  3. Basic reading and writing.

  4. Read measurement and gauge instruments.

  5. Basic computer knowledge.

  6. Strong interpersonal skills.

  7. Must have ability to maintain and be authorized to operate forklift and/or other power industrial trucks.

  8. Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and positive work attitude.

  9. Communicate effectively with various internal personnel.

  10. Willing to work overtime.
