Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Hudson, WI
Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (Overtime as needed)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-Term, Temp to Hire
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Doorline Department on 2nd Shift. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate handling, movement, and packaging of materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pull, package, and prepare all customer orders for shipment
- Verify orders for completeness and accuracy against pick lists and work orders
- Operate stretch wrapping equipment to secure materials for transport
- Stage materials for outgoing shipments and set up packaging supplies as required
- Transfer completed sections to designated areas within the plant
- Monitor and assist with inventory levels of stock sections as directed
- Inspect products and materials for defects and report concerns to the Supervisor or Group Leader
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards
- Operate a forklift to move and position finished goods in the shipping area
- Assist with basic forklift maintenance as necessary
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies at all times
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrates the ability to anticipate workflow needs and adjust accordingly
- Comfortable using PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, protective garments, and fall protection equipment
- Availability for overtime and cross-training in multiple responsibilities
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Able to work 40 hours per week and flexible with scheduling for overtime
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Up to 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong work history and excellent attendance record
