POSITION – Braze Technician
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Weekend Day Shift (6am-6:30pm Fri-Sun)
STARTING PAY – $20-24/hour + Shift Differential (17% on weekend days)

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School diploma or GED required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Minimum 0-2 years manufacturing experience
The Braze Technician will vacuum braze parts, clean parts, load and unload parts, spank fin, cut foil, and hardness test parts. The purpose for this role is to vacuum braze parts by cleaning, assembling fixtures, loading and unloading parts, and monitoring the operation and maintenance of the furnace.
Responsibilities

Perform the duties of a Finisher as needed.

Safely clean components using braze cleaning line prior to vacuum brazing while following all safety requirements.

Able to spank fin and cut foils.

Use hardness tester equipment and download data.

Use set up sheets to get methods to properly fixture braze parts.

Capable of loading and unloading ovens.

Be able to read and demonstrate a comprehension of a blueprint's dimensions, tolerances, as well as surface finish call outs required for parts.

Load parts into and operate heat treat and drying ovens.

Ensure quality of brazing by checking for flaws and non-conformities and taking corrective action to prevent further discrepancies.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.

Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to think independently.

Must pay attention to detail.

Demonstrate an understanding of fixturing and spring pressure, and hazardous chemicals.

Ability to read blueprints is a plus.

Must be able to work in other areas on an as needed basis.

Show initiative in work by being a self starter, suggesting new ideas for completing a job, giving input as to how to improve the efficiency of a job, and organizing work time in order to complete jobs in a timely matter.
