POSITION – Braze Technician

JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temporary (3-6 months)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Weekend Day Shift (6am-6:30pm Fri-Sun)

STARTING PAY – $20-24/hour + Shift Differential (17% on weekend days)

BENEFITS – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Referral Bonus

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School diploma or GED required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Minimum 1-2 years manufacturing experience, prefer metal manufacturing

 

The Braze Technician is responsible for vacuum brazing parts, cleaning components, loading and unloading parts, spanking fin, cutting foil, and performing hardness testing. This role supports brazing operations by preparing parts, assembling fixtures, and monitoring furnace performance and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Finisher duties as needed

  • Safely clean components using the braze cleaning line while adhering to all safety guidelines

  • Spank fin and cut foil as required

  • Operate hardness testing equipment and download data

  • Use setup sheets to apply proper fixturing methods for brazing

  • Load and unload ovens safely and efficiently

  • Read and interpret blueprints, including dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements

  • Operate heat treat and drying ovens

  • Inspect brazed parts for defects and implement corrective actions as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adjust to changing demands

  • Skilled in problem solving, decision making, and independent thinking

  • High attention to detail

  • Understanding of fixturing, spring pressure, and handling hazardous chemicals

  • Blueprint reading ability preferred

  • Willingness to support other departments as needed

  • Self-motivated with initiative to suggest improvements, contribute ideas, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
