Are you experience in Metal Manufacturing, Fabrication or other Metal Industrial work? We are looking for self-motivated employees that will pride themselves on excellent attendance and punctuality. SEEK is hiring for Braze Technicians in Eau Claire.

POSITION – Braze Technician

JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temporary (3-6 months)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd Shift (3:30pm-2am, Mon-Thurs)

STARTING PAY – $20-24/hr + Shift Differential (10% on 2nd)

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School diploma or GED required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1-2+ years of experience in a similar position in a machine shop and/or training is preferred.

 

This role is responsible for vacuum brazing parts by preparing components through cleaning, assembling fixtures, loading and unloading parts, and overseeing furnace operation and maintenance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform finishing duties as needed

  • Safely clean components using the Braze Cleaning Line in compliance with safety protocols

  • Develop and apply proper fixture methods for braze parts

  • Operate and maintain all vacuum braze-related equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints, including dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements

  • Passivate parts in accordance with safety requirements

  • Load and operate heat treat and drying ovens

  • Inspect brazed parts for defects; identify and correct non-conformities

  • Download data-logger information and generate historical reports

  • Straighten various parts using a hand press (includes brazements and raw blanks of different shapes and sizes)

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Adhere to and promote company mission, values, code of ethics, and policies

 

 

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills—listening, verbal, and written

  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing demands

  • Effective problem-solving and independent decision-making skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Understanding of fixturing, spring pressure, and safe handling of hazardous chemicals

  • Blueprint reading ability preferred

  • Flexible to work in other departments as needed

  • Self-starter with initiative; contributes ideas for process improvement and job efficiency

  • Capable of organizing tasks to meet deadlines and complete work effectively
