Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Overtime likely; On-Call Rotation Every 6–8 Weeks)
Compensation: $56,160 – $87,360 annually (commensurate with level and experience)

Join our dynamic and growing team in Cottage Grove, MN as a Service Technician I, II, or III. We are seeking driven, safety-conscious individuals with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic to help maintain, service, and repair a wide variety of rental and customer-owned equipment. Whether you're starting out or already experienced, we have a position that aligns with your skills and growth goals.
Service Tech I – Entry Level
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance on rental equipment (check fuel, oil, tires, safety compliance).
- Clean and prepare equipment for rental or sale.
- Load/unload equipment within DOT regulations.
- Assist with deliveries/pickups and minor repairs.
- Report machine condition to supervisors for billing and readiness.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge.
- Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
Service Tech II – Intermediate
Responsibilities:
- Perform repair and maintenance on customer-owned equipment including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Document all service and repair work.
- Travel to customer job sites when needed; maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
- Provide customer training and equipment demonstrations.
- Support higher-level technicians and assist with parts/equipment transport.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of related experience or trade school completion.
- Must own applicable tools.
- Knowledge of schematics and construction equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Service Tech III – Advanced
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex diagnostics and repairs of diesel, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate electronic service records and documentation (Rentalman system).
- Travel to customer sites as needed; uphold professional service standards.
- Oversee work quality and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant equipment repair experience.
- Own a complete set of applicable tools.
- Strong working knowledge of heavy equipment, schematics, and diagnostic procedures.
- Proven leadership, communication, and time management abilities.
Working Conditions (All Levels):
- Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Exposure to outdoor elements, dust, fumes, noise.
- Use of hand/power tools, climbing on equipment.
- Requires bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods.
- PPE may be required (respirator, hearing protection).
