Materials Specialist Team Lead

POSITION – Materials Specialist
JOB LOCATION – Hudson, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temporary through Oct.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (5:00am - 1:30pm) with possible overtime
STARTING PAY – $26/BOE

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – up to 2 years of forklift experience is desired
Improve operational efficiency by leading teams, executing work processes effectively, managing inventory with attention to detail, following safety protocols, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and maintaining accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Promoting a safe and sustainable working environment through modeling safe behaviors as well as recognizing and resolving safety-related problems and being an active member and participant in Safety committee
- Establishing priorities and allocating work assignments to meet specific daily production requirements using lean management processes to meet customer expectations.
- Monitoring production rates, yields, and quality of products routinely, communicating results to employees and leveraging continuous improvement tools to improve scheduling, quality, and efficiency.
- Leading, coaching, and developing employees through the direct supervisor, floor presence, monitoring and coaching of production employees, providing recognition, overseeing training completion, policy administration, and participating in hiring processes. This may include contingent workers.
- Representing plant leadership team through supporting initiatives across the plant. Including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, bringing on call, and servicing as a primary plant management representative.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified before start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment in a private, public, government, or military setting
- OR-
- High School diploma/GED or higher (Completed and verified before start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Highly desirable experience with the Epicor Kinetic [JF1] environment used in the storeroom and being able to train new and current team members.
- Operate a forklift truck in a safe, prescribed manner. Serve as an OSHA-certified fork truck operator trainer.
