POSITION – Machine Operator II
JOB LOCATION – Spooner, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm, Mon-Thurs) OT depends on business needs.
STARTING PAY – Based on Experience

EDUCATION– HS Diploma or Equivalent preferred, but not required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 2 to 3 years related experience in a metal fabrication
We are seeking a Machine Operator II to run machinery in accordance with program and product specifications, producing small to medium-sized components that serve either as final products or as parts of larger assemblies.
Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines to manufacture production parts and assemblies

Operate manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
-
Position parts in designated locations using various fastening methods
-
Use hand-held, electric, and pneumatic tools to perform tasks
-
Operate lift equipment as needed to move materials or components
-
Use precision measuring instruments to ensure product accuracy
-
Identify different material types used in the department and adjust equipment accordingly
-
Recognize worn or damaged tooling and replace as necessary
-
Verify the accuracy of finished products through batch inspections
-
Report defective materials, discrepancies, or process issues to the Department Lead
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety regulations
-
Complete required documentation, including in-process and carbon copy production sheets
Qualifications
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience required in lieu of a degree or certification
-
Experience operating vertical milling machines, drill presses, vertical band saws, shear press brakes, and/or lathes
-
Consistently produce high-quality products that meet required specifications
-
Meet production output goals by producing the required quantity of parts
-
Understand machine operations and the workflow of completed components
-
Utilize computers as necessary for job functions

Use precision measuring tools accurately

Read and interpret blueprints effectively
-
Accurately and promptly complete all required documentation

Operate hand tools, machines, and equipment with minimal supervision

Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to overall success
-
Perform well in a fast-paced work environment

Take initiative to identify and complete tasks without being directed

Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality
