Mechanical Assembly


We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler for our expanding Randolph client! As a key member of the organization, you'll be responsible for the mechanical and basic electrical assembly of bulk container handling equipment. We need someone who is detail-oriented, a problem-solver, and capable of working with minimal supervision.


Position – Mechanical Assembly

Job Location – Randolph, WI

Starting Date – ASAP

Employment Term – Temp to hire

Employment Type – Full time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st shift

Starting Pay – $20 to $22 per hour based on experience

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience in assembly


Responsibilities

  • Assembly: Using machine drawings, schematics, and bills of materials, you'll build equipment with quality workmanship and efficiency. This includes structural, mechanical drive, fluid control, and simple electrical assemblies.
  • Problem-Solving: You'll need to be proficient in reading blueprints and drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the assembly process.
  • Quality Assurance: You'll perform quality checks and ensure all work meets our high standards.
  • Documentation: Accurate reporting of labor, materials, and other relevant information is essential.
  • Inventory Management: You'll assist with inventory re-ordering policies, including our "Kanban" system.
  • Shipping Preparation: Preparing equipment for shipment, including machine teardown.


Qualifications 

  • 1 year of experience minimum in assembly
  • The ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and blueprints.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficient with hand tools.
  • The ability to use common sense to follow instructions, whether they're written, oral, or in a diagram.
  • Basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.).
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
