POSITION – Finance Assistant
JOB LOCATION – Jackson, WI
STARTING DATE – ASAP
EMPLOYMENT TERM – 3 month temp (chance of Temp-to-Hire)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Part Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Flexible 20-30 hours within office hours of (8:00a- 4:30p)
STARTING PAY – $25-30/hr DOE
REQUIRED EDUCATION – A degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role, with specific experience in accounts receivable, is required
Job Summary
The Part-Time Finance Assistant provides essential support to the finance department by handling a range of tasks focused on accounts receivable and financial reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring timely payment processing, accurate record-keeping, and assisting in the preparation of key financial statements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong accounting fundamentals.
This role will report into the Project Manager/US Finance Manager but will be expected to need limited training and have the ability to operate on their own in a short space of time to free up the US Finance Manager to manager the US implementation of the ERP upgrade.
Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable: Process and record incoming payments from customers, manage invoicing, and manage collections by contacting clients regarding overdue accounts. It is essential to keep within DSO and % Overdue targets for Kinetec USA.

Financial Statement Preparation: Assist the finance team with gathering and compiling financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.

Reconciliation and Record-Keeping: Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records.

Data Entry and Processing: Accurately enter financial transactions and other accounting data into the company's accounting software.

Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications and Skills

Education: A degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role, with specific experience in accounts receivable, is required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with accounting software is essential.

Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and effective written and verbal communication are a must. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is also require
