Work Hours (Shift) – 2nd Shift (2:00pm – 12:00am Mon-Thurs)
Starting Pay – Depends on Experience, $18 - $28/hr

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience – At least 1 years of experience
Sets up and runs large printing presses (web/flexo/digital) for business forms, managing raw materials (paper, film), inks, plates; they monitor quality, adjust for color/registration, perform daily maintenance (cleaning rollers, changing parts), troubleshoot issues, manage waste, and complete production reports, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to safety standards, often working with assistants and managing prepress tasks to meet customer specs for things like forms, labels, or specialty packaging.
Responsibilities
- Setup & Operation: Load materials, change plates/blankets, set inks/coatings, manage registration (color alignment) and folding/trimming units.
- Quality Control: Monitor print quality, match color proofs, check for defects, adjust machine settings during runs, and inspect raw materials.
- Maintenance: Perform daily upkeep like cleaning rollers, changing doctor blades, lubricating parts, and performing minor mechanical adjustments.
- Material Management: Optimize raw material usage, minimize waste, and manage inventory for paper, Tyvek, or films.
- Prepress: Manage prepress activities, mount plates, and sometimes prepare digital files.
- Teamwork: Direct press assistants, help with cleanup, and support maintenance staff.
- Documentation: Complete production reports, usage logs, and SPC charts.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain complex machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for color, quality, and precision.
- Safety Focus: Follow all OH&S guidelines, use PPE (safety glasses, gloves).
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and handle chemicals.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced, deadline-driven, often involving night shifts or continuous operations.
