Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer
Location: Old Bridge, NJ
Pay: $155k-$175k
About the job:
The Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer develops new CRE lending business, manages an active
loan portfolio, and guides borrowers through the full loan lifecycle. This role evaluates loan
requests, presents recommendations, and ensures high-quality credit standards.
We’re looking for someone who:
? Holds a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
? Has 5+ years of commercial real estate lending experience
? Brings experience with construction lending (preferred)
? Demonstrates strong knowledge of CRE lending, underwriting, and sales practices
? Communicates clearly with strong presentation and relationship-building skills
? Excels in critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving
? Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities independently
? Works with integrity, sound judgment, and strict confidentiality
? Is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
What you’ll do:
? Generate new CRE lending business by developing relationships with prospective clients
? Expand business through existing centers of influence
? Meet with applicants to gather loan details and analyze financial data
? Submit applications to credit analysts and collaborate on financial reviews
? Recommend banking products and explain loan processes, requirements, and terms
? Screen and evaluate loan requests in accordance with bank policies
? Prepare loan proposals and present recommendations to loan committees
? Maintain deep knowledge of each assigned lending relationship, assessing risks and strengths
? Communicate loan terms, ensure timely payments, and obtain required documentation
? Manage an active loan portfolio in alignment with quality and risk standards
? Cross-sell bank products to strengthen customer relationships
? Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, attorneys,
and regulators
? Stay current on CRE industry trends, policies, and best practices
? Participate in training and maintain professional knowledge to support ongoing development
