· Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required replacing worn or broken parts, electrical diagnosis of vehicle sub-systems such as central tire inflation system, ABS, diesel engines, HVAC systems, transmissions; fuel systems, lighting, and ignition systems. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
· Perform duties assigned by the PM-MRAP site lead
· Corrective maintenance guidance
· Maintenance and supply support reports
· Coordination and resolution of issues related to maintenance, training, product quality deficiency reports, vehicle readiness and sustainability
· Assistance interpreting technical manuals and troubleshooting
· Assistance with readiness matters and determining improvement solutions
· Assist with the development and coordination of retrofit/modification plans
· Assist with determining new equipment maintenance.
· Effective Customer Service
Experience:
5 years certified vehicle maintenance experience/training (Diesel Engine, Electrical Systems and AC Certified)
MRAP U training required or minimum 1 year experience working in country on MRAP vehicles.
OEM training preferred.
National Agency Check (NAC-I) required
Ability to satisfy a NAC-I Investigation / Clearance Required.
