Heavy Equipment Assembler, $14/hour – Georgetown, TX

Job Summary: The mission of the Heavy Equipment Assembler is to work as a member of the manufacturing team to build high capacity lifting equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Assembler position:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for assembly instructions

  • Utilize hand/power tools to build large cranes and lifting systems

  • Audit system kit against work order and custom configuration

  • Check cosmetic quality

  • Follow procedures, utilize forms, update documentation, process needs and requirements to implement and maintain the process of systems manufacturing, including software installation and system test

  • Inspect against component specification, packaging, anti-static precautions, and software-loading instructions on all computer systems built in-house

  • Report information to Operations Supervisor on a regular basis, identifying and rectifying critical quality related problems

  • Maintain workstations in good working condition and keep the work area clean and organized

  • Responsible for quality inspection for all areas of work produced

  • Maintain safe work environment by following all rules and regulations

  • Other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements of the Heavy Equipment Assembler position:

  • Must possess strong electro-mechanical abilities

  • Familiar with and knowledge of ESD and anti-static precautions

  • Logical thinking, medium analytical capability, and the ability to deal with simple mathematical calculations

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics

Qualifications of the Heavy Equipment Assembler position:

  • At least 6 months -1 year prior experience in heavy mechanical assembly or fabrication in metal and/or iron, hydraulics

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic

  • Able to meet physical requirements which include: standing on feet for duration of shift (10 hours); lifting up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis; utilizing hands and fingers to grasp, feel, touch, and handle tools, parts, and equipment; climbing ladders, crouching, kneeling, squatting

  • Must pass hearing test

  • Must be comfortable working in elements, as work is completed outdoors as well as indoors in warehouse

  • High School graduate or G.E.D.

  • 1-3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

  • Able to communicate in both verbal and written English
