The Order Selector receives, stores, and distributes material and products within establishments by performing the following duties. The role of forklift operator is to complete a number of tasks and responsibilities that ensure effective and efficient movement of merchandise from one location to another. The Operator is accountable for the safe operation of the vehicle, and other duties as assigned. Ensure that the relocating process does not interfere with the company standards of the product. Starting pay is $15 per hour. Work hours are 2:00pm-10:00pm


Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to shipping department.

  • Marks materials with identifying information.

  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.



  • At least 1 year on the job experience

  • Knowledge of basic safety measure when lifting, pulling, pushing

  • Knowledge of basic safety measures while operating a Fork Lift and related machinery

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Ability to adhere to productivity goals and measures

  • Ability to move from one assigned area to another as work requires.

  • Ability to accurately read labels

  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.

  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

  • Equipment: Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift other power equipment. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away, and load functions, as required.

  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

  • On a daily basis, inspect equipment and report any maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor.

  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained; assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.

  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

  • You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
