A large medical devices company is searching for a Dental Technician who can perform functions associated with the manufacturing of mandibular re-positioning devices, including working with engineers, dental labs, and dentists in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of the devices. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

-Performs to individual goals established during MyDay meetings.

-Able to perform a variety of dental laboratory duties to produce high quality dental appliances for the medical treatment of sleep apnea.

-Preparation of impressions, models, base plates and final waxing.

-Ensure that appliances meet or exceed quality standards and prescription.

-Accurately completes all quality documentation.

-Ability to coordinate production schedule of dental appliances and meet deadlines.

-Maintain order and cleanliness of lab and other related duties as assigned.

-Work within; global cross functional teams in matters of product improvement, quality and production process changes.

-Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience

-Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one to three years relevant dental laboratory experience and/ or training.

-Knowledge of the anatomical elements of the jaw and mouth.

-Expertise in removable appliance techniques.

-Extremely detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills.

-Experience with CAD/CAM desired

-Proficiency of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer) and ERP software.
