The Supply Chain Manager is the key position responsible for the development and adherence of a significant portion of the critical operations business processes. This position has overall responsibility for all supply chain functions including; Supplier Management, Purchasing and Warehousing and Logistics Management. The position is tasked with driving improved efficiencies in plant operations while reducing external cost through strategic negotiations with contract manufacturers and suppliers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Manage and administer all purchasing functions of the organization, ensuring that the lowest total costs are realized

  2. Responsible for the logistics of moving raw materials and components into the facility and finished goods out to the customer.

  3. Coordinating with customer service to understand, plan and meet customer demand requirements

  4. Responsible for ensuring that all key ERP functions related to supply chain and supplier management are documented and followed

  5. Drive year-over year savings in the plant’s annual spend

  6. Negotiating with key suppliers of raw materials and capital equipment

  7. Track and publish key supply chain metrics

  8. Ensure that NDA’s are in place and on file with all suppliers

  9. Maintain the company’s ASL

Education/Experience:

College degree (BA / MBA etc.) or equivalent, and a minimum of 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Basic understanding of Spanish or Mandarin is a plus.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent command of a wide variety of computer software. Most importantly, this individual should have “power user” skills in an ERP system. with M2M being the desired platform. Crystal report or equivalent, and all Microsoft Office applications are a must

 

Certificates and Licenses:

CPM or APICS certification preferred
