Machine Operator 8pm-8am Machine Operators are responsible for the daily operations of the automated spunbond or meltblown / composite production lines, to include: production order review, collection / preparation of raw materials, order production, quality checks and verifications, labeling, wrapping and finished goods warehouse storage. Operators must maintain continuous focus and detail to quality and safety; operate industrial lift trucks; housekeeping / cleanliness in the production warehouse and work areas; assist with start-ups, product changes, and preventative maintenance tasks, as well as actively participate in ongoing safety, ISO, and position training activities. This is a general list of duties that will be performed by Machine Operators as required. Each duty may not be required on a daily basis, but may be required as deemed necessary by the Company. This list is not all inclusive; therefore, various duties or changes may occur as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to do simple math, read, write, and read a tape measure; job competence will be determined during the 90 day trial period in accordance with the New Hire Training program. Must be capable of working an assigned 12-hour Continental shift. (Night shift 8:00pm – 8:00am . Must be capable of working before shift, after shift and/or off-days as needed. Must have good communication skills with the ability to learn quickly and to pay attention to detail. Must be engaged to learn all details of the position based on hands-on, written work instruction, and classroom training. Must be dependable and have a reliable means of transportation. Must have a dependable means of being contacted. Report to work timely and work the scheduled shift. Good attendance is a condition of employment. Must be capable of operating a forklift and clamp truck. The following tasks are required on a regular basis while performing the duties of this position: sit, continuous walking / standing, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk/hear, and climb up and down stairs. Must be capable of bending, stooping, reaching, and crawling as needed. Capable of lifting at least fifty (50) lbs. The movement of a heavier load, greater than 50 lbs., will require assistance. Work safely at all times, following all procedures and utilizing the identified personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be substance abuse free and willing to submit to random drug screenings. Work efficiently and with minimal supervision.
