I.K. Hofmann is currently recruiting for a Fine Dining Server / Lounge Attendant for the JFK, NY Airport. This position requires a self-motivated and reliable candidate that is able to work in a professional environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Setting the stage: Preparing tables, ensuring cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Menu Knowledge: Memorizing the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
- Order Taking: Accurately taking food and beverage orders from guests.
- Serving Food: Delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Beverage Expertise: Offering wine and cocktail recommendations based on guest preferences and food pairings.
- Anticipating Needs: Being attentive to guest needs and providing proactive service.
- Handling Issues: Promptly addressing guest concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the dining area clean and organized.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time
- The person in this position will be required to move about the kitchen area from station to station.
- Frequently move trays and stacks of dishes, pots, pans weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Work near others. They often share the same workspace.
- Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.
- Exposure to stoves, ovens, microwaves and sharp cooking tools like knives and scissors, so skill and caution are important
Hours:
11am to 7pm or 2pm to 10pm
Payrate:
$26-$32 an hour

- Professional Etiquette: Demonstrating impeccable manners and maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to all aspects of the service, from table setting to food presentation.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with guests and other staff members.
- Time Management: Efficiently managing multiple tables and tasks.
- Customer Service: Providing exceptional service and exceeding guest expectations.
- Teamwork: Working collaboratively with other front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Bar: Basic knowledge of mix drink preparations and service
